(Neighbourhood Children’s Network) NCN is governance by children through Neighbourhood Community Net Work. Through NCN activities “children become agents of change” and “partners in development.” Like the SHGs for women, the children in schools and in the villages are motivated to form groups, in their locality. They have regular weekly meetings, formation programmes and social activities. Through their group experience they train themselves to be leaders, they develop their talents, acquire various life coping skills and values and through their activities they transform their locality.

Mission: To assume responsibility to build a caring society around us, without any frontiers, and where love, Justice and Solidarity are lived.

Objectives:
	To create a healthy environment, where justice, peace and harmony reigns.
	To own up the responsibility of improving the neighbourhood.
	To be concerned about the problems, issues and welfare of children and seek solutions.
	To approach local government authorities for the needs of the neighbourhood.
	To turn to elders and other leaders of the locality for guidance and support.
	To promote personality development in children with good value system.
	To join hands with similar groups and produce synergy for good.
	To develop their talents and potentialities.

Action Plan:
	Assimilate the concept “Children are the leaders of tomorrow”
	Conduct regular weekly meetings as per the planned guidelines.
	Fulfil each one’s duty and responsibility as per their age.
	Study, discuss and find out the common issues and problems of the neighbourhood and find solutions.
	Voice aloud the issues regarding the rights of children.
	Approach government officials/NGOs/individuals and get their help in solving the problems of the neighbourhood.
	Involve and support the local government’s programme.
